Marvin Wendell Tew, age 59 and a resident of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Wednesday, January 08, 2014. He was born August 10, 1954, in Conroe, Texas. Marvin was a Master Carpenter by trade; and enjoyed his grandchildren, collecting arrowheads, hunting, fishing and raising Jack Russell Terriers. He considered his family to be his greatest accomplishment in life. He was a devoted husband, loving father, tireless grandfather and steadfast brother and friend. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Edith Ussery Tew; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Robbie Jimmerson; brothers, Michael Tew, Steven Tew, and Mike Jimmerson; nephew, Bobby James “B.J.” Tew; and his faithful K-9 companion, “Bentley.” He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Brenda Gale Jimmerson Tew; daughters, Tammy Wallace Billnoski and husband Patrick, Amanda Tew Hunt and husband Trey; sisters, Patsy Pyle, Polly, Dorlene Raborn, Linda Tew, Terry Childree, Shelly Stendahl, and Kelly Cater; brothers, Bobby Tew, Dewayne Tew, Mike Stendahl, Mike Cater, and Steve Raborn; grandchildren, Sarah Hanson Billnoski and William Kingston Hunt; honorary grandchildren, Ashlyn, Caleb, and Tootie; nephews, Greg, Mark Ellington, Carey Jimmerson, Monty Jimmerson, John Childree, Jake Stendahl, Abel Stendahl, Logan Cater, and Justin Workman; nieces, Agelia Guree, Kim Ellington Schoener, Emily Cater, Christina, Trisha, Julie, and Lynn; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, “Tank” his main K-9 companion and his other K-9 companions. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, 303 E. Crockett, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Terry Jones will preside over funeral services on Sunday, January 12, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens. Pallbearers include Jake Stendahl, Justin Workman, Abel Stendahl, Mark Ellington, Cary Jimmerson, Caleb Harrison, Monty Jimmerson, and Douglas “Tootie” Johnson. Honorary pallbearers include Patrick Billnoski, Trey Hunt, Rick Snell, and Neal Mays.
