Martin Luvon Faircloth

Martin Luvon Faircloth, 86, went home to be with the Lord on December 26, 2018.

Martin was born on May 20th, 1932 in Parker Florida to Ola and Martin Faircloth. Martin’s father died when he was 2 years old and his stepfather, John Kinard, stepped into the role of raising Martin.

Service for Mr. Faircloth will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2018 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. The family will receive friends 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Houston National Cemetery.

Martin attended Pahokee High School and shortly after entered in the Navy where he served for 10 years, including service in the Korean War. After being released from the military he served as Sheriff in Jamestown, Ky as well as serving in Hustonville, KY. He also retired from DuPont where he was a master mechanic for 30 years.

Martin was also very active in the church serving as a deacon, Sunday School teacher and superintendent as well as an usher. He and his wife pastored Moore Haven, FL Church of God Of Prophecy before moving to Texas to be closer to his son.

Martin is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Ola Faircloth-Kinard and stepfather, John Kinard; brother, Larry Kinard; sister, Marylou Parham, son, Michael Lynn Faircloth and granddaughter, Adrienne Faircloth, and the lady who held his heart of 61 years, his wife, Della Maxine Faircloth.

Martin is survived by son, David Faircloth and wife Paula Faircloth of Crosby TX, sister, Judy Crosby of Belle Glade FL, sister, Ila Moore and husband Frank of Clewiston, FL; sister, Jean Thornton and husband Verlin of Murfreesboro TN, also many nieces, nephews and beloved grandchildren.
