Martha Marie Ognowski

Martha Marie “Me-Me” Ognowski, age 85, of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011.  She was born November 12, 1925 in Chappel Hill, Texas to parents, Antone Zientek and Julia Twardowski-Zientek who preceded her in death along with her loving husband of 63 years, Leon S. Ognowski; great-grandson, David Charles Weaver; sisters, Theresa Wisnowski, Maggie Wisnowski, Annie Krolczyk; brothers, Steve Zientek and Joe Zientek Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Collette, Diane Warner and husband, Speedy, Jeanette Weaver and husband, David; son, Kenneth Ognowski and wife, Alane; sister, Cecelia Derkowski; grandchildren, Ami Bradley and husband, Ford, Shannon Gilliam and husband, Richard, David Weaver and fiancé, Sara Weise, Rachael Weaver, Dustin Ognowski and wife, Sunshine, Lauren Ognowski, Steven Ognowski, Marlo Iverson and husband, Brent, Roxanne Warner, Giselle Warner; great-grandchildren, Caleb Weaver, Simone Conner, Beau and Elle Bradley, Colson and Hudson Gilliam; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other cherished family members and treasured friends throughout the years. Visitation will be Sunday, August 28, 2011, 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. held in the Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas.  Father Erik Groner will preside over funeral services being held Monday, August 29, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 702 E. Houston, Cleveland, Texas.  Everyone will dismiss for lunch and meet for graveside services at 2:00 p.m., Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, Texas 77023.  Pallbearers include Ford Bradley, Richard Gilliam, Dustin Ognowski, Steven Ognowski, David Weaver, and Loren Schlagel.
