Martha Gertrude Potter, age 89, of Freeport, Texas, passed away, Thursday, August 09, 2012. She was born March 15, 1923 in Black Lake, Louisiana to parents Franklin Moore and Mary Louella (Sewell) Moore who preceded her in death along with her loving husband Ephram Pennington Potter; brothers Harvey L. "Bud" Moore, Jim Halsted, and Johnny Halsted; granddaughter Bridget Dunson; great-grandson Christian Malachi Campbell; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.Survivors include her children Ephram P. Potter and wife Elaine of Badiff, Texas, James "Buck" Potter of Romayor, Texas, Ogerill "Sally" Potter of Tarkington, Texas, Jeri Potter of Jones Creek, Texas, Bobby Potter and wife Connie of Moss Hill, Texas, Billy Potter of Ace, Texas; grandchildren Mary Lynn Potter Evans, Sheila Potter, James "Bo" Potter, Connie Potter, Audrey Dugosh Sherrod, Clyde "Bubba" Dugosh, Tony Potter, Mark Potter, Randall Potter, Lisa Shoemake, Julie Potter Wilke, Lori Delgado, Glenda Ferguson, Brenda Ferguson, Charlotte Havard Roberts, Melina Havard; countless great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and a host of faithful friends throughout the years.Visitation will be held Friday, August 10, 2012, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Rev. Carl Williamson will preside over funeral services being held Saturday, August 11, 2012, 2:30 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Romayor Cemetery, Romayor, Texas. Pallbearers include Allen Hall, Paul "Bo" Smith, Tony Potter, Christopher Evans, W.C. Franklin, and Duane Evans; honorary pallbearers include K.B. Johnson and Zack Roberts.
