Marlin Smith Sr.

Marlin Smith Sr., age 71 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015. He was born March 31, 1944 in Camden, Texas to parents James Travis Smith and Alter Burks who preceded him in death along with his wife, Janice LaVerne Wolf Smith; brother, Travis L. Smith; brother-in-law, Nathan (Sluggo) Pippin; and granddaughter, Cheyenne AnnShay Smith. Survivors include his sons, Marlin Smith Jr. and wife Shawna, James Rhea Smith, and Christopher L. Smith; sister, Marie Pippin; grandchildren, Marlin B. Smith, Justin D. Smith, Amber Michelle Smith, Peyton Smith, Kingston “Bo” Smith, and Caleb Andrew Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, other cherished family members and friends. David Raines will preside over graveside services held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Morgan Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2015 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas.
