He was born December 6, 1956 in New Orleans, LA to parents, David Eric and Bonny Kathleen Marcus Schroeder.Service for Mr. Schroeder will be held Saturday December 20, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Lake Houston United Methodist Church in Huffman. Visitation 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday December 19, 2014 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton.He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Bonny Schroeder and his son-in-law, Abel Castaneda.Mr. Schroeder had been a resident of the Huffman area since 1971. He was a 1974 graduate of Hargrave High School in Huffman. Mr. Schroeder graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1980, having earned his Bachelors degree. He was dedicated fan of his Texas Longhorns athletics program. Mark formerly taught school for Humble Independent School District and had retired from Southwest Airlines as a ramp supervisor. Mark loved his family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as he could. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was working in his garden, on the water in his boat or barbecuing for his family and friends. Mark enjoyed reading and had a special affinity for western novels.Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Lucy Ann Gallardo Schroeder; daughters, Erika Schroeder and Heidi Schroeder Kalla and husband, Nick; sisters, Patty Williams and husband, Danny, Cindy McCune and husband, Bill; grandson, David Schroeder; nieces and nephews: Melissa, Kristin, Meredith, Raquel, Vivian, Stephanie, Lucinda, Teri, Megan, Deidra, Adam, Steve, Soledad, Madeline, Naomi, Mayson, Athena; Mother-in-law, Ethel Gallardo; brother-in-law, George Zaragoza; sister-in-law, Deloise Lunning and husband, Ev; Uncle Paul and Aunt Phyliss; Uncle John and Aunt Jennifer Sunny, many cousins, and a host of friends.Please leave your thoughts and memories at pacestancil.com
