Mark Douglas Boone, born on August 22, 1960, in Houston, Texas, bid farewell to the world on July 3, 2024, in Conroe, Texas. He was known for his illustrious career as an operator in the construction industry and for his service in the US Coast Guard.
Mark's vibrant personality left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He had a knack for humor, always ready with a joke a witty remark - earning him the titles of a jokester and a smart aleck among his peers and loved ones.
Among Mark's proudest accomplishments was his dedication to attending church, where he found solace and community. His commitment to faith was unwavering throughout his life.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents Lester Boone and Mary Yvonne Hollingsworth Robertson, as well as brothers Gary Fuson and Jim Fuson. He is survived by his children Steven Boone, Sebastian Boone and his wife Jing, Jeremiah Flynn and his wife Amina, and Victoria Flynn. In addition to his children, Mark is survived by his brother Terry Boone and sister-in-law Karren. He also leaves behind sisters-in-law Norma Fuson and Marie Fuson. Mark will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Serenity Boone, Rhedyn and Amiah Flynn, His favorite nieces Valerie Herrera, Julie Harrison and his favorite nephews Dustin Boone, Jason Fowler and Ashton Young, numerous more nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends whose lives he touched with his kindness and humor.
His family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. A service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 8, 2024 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Holly Grove Cemetery in Rye.
In honoring Mark Douglas Boone's memory, let us remember the laughter he brought into our lives and the love he shared with those around him. Rest in peace.
