Mark Allen Shelton

Mark Allen Shelton, 51, of Highlands, died July 19, 2014, at the Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 28, 2014, at the Praise Tabernacle of Dayton with graveside services following at Evergreen Cemetery in Crosby. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, at the Praise Tabernacle. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Mark was born April 30, 1963 in Baytown, to parents; Billy David Shelton, Sr. and Judith Ann Brown Shelton, and has resided in the Baytown/Highlands area throughout his life. He was a graduate of the Sterling High School class of 1981, attended the Colorado Technical Institute, was a veteran of the US Army, member and sound technician for the Praise Tabernacle of Dayton, and a foreman for B and S Trucking of Crosby. He also enjoyed church activities and motorcycles. Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by his father: Billy David Shelton, Sr., and grandparents: W.D. and Alma Shelton and Roy and Syble Brown. He is survived by his mother: Judy Shelton of Arkansas, stepfather: Roy Allen of Arkansas, sisters: Cathie Harris of Old River and Lisa Shelton of Highlands, brothers: Billy David Shelton, Jr. and wife Lori of Baytown and Brian Keith Shelton and wife Silvana of Houston, great aunts: Mary Ann Lucas of Arkansas and Margie Lucas of Arkansas, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
