The family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Marigrace O’Neil in Cleveland, Texas; after fighting a courageous battle with Lung Cancer on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in her 58th year of life. Mari was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Lindsey; parents Bill O’Neil and Mavis Lawson; sister Helen Kanstiner; and grandparents Noble and Grace Cayton. She is survived by her sons Richard Metts and Eric Frankum and daughter Amy Frankum; sisters Peggy O’Neil, Trudilee O’Neil, and Janet King; brothers Todd Lester and Larry King; and grandchildren Miranda and Victoria Metts, Tyler, Peyton and Jaxon Cummings, and Haylee Frankum; and nieces Brandi Thoede, Amanda Tidwell, Jenna Kocurek and Marsha Malish; nephews Joseph and Jacob Kocurek as well as many other family members and friends who love her. Mari was born in Houston and lived in the Pasadena/Deer Park area until she moved to her family property in Cleveland to be with her mom in 1996. She worked at EnterPak, Uncle Bens, and the Montgomery County Extension Office. Mari was also an active member of CAML in the fight against the Montgomery Landfill. Mari loved to be near the water and the family’s yearly summer trips to ConCan. Her children would like to extend their many thanks to everyone who was involved in the care of their mom and a special thank you to her caregiver Carol Stirling. Visitation will be held Monday, April 01, 2013, 5:00-9:00 p.m., Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 02, 2013, 11:00 a.m., Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment at County Line Cemetery, Willis, Texas.
