Margaret Evangeline Miller Shannon

Margaret Evangeline Miller Shannon, 92, of Coldspring passed away Sunday, April 3, 2010 in Conroe. She was born October 13, 1917 in Nashville, Tennessee to parents William Carl and Cordelia Wackerman Miller. She had been a long time resident of Beaumont and Liberty. Services for Mrs. Shannon will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the First Baptist Church, Liberty with interment to follow at Cooke Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, April 9, 2010 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, 1304 North Cleveland, Dayton. Pallbearers will be Lynn Shannon, Don Shannon, Craig Shannon, Patrick Shannon, Michael Shannon, and Claude Harding. Mrs. Shannon was preceded in death by her husband Carlton Lynn Shannon and her survivors include three sons: Lynn Carlton Shannon and wife Alma, Don Michael Shannon and wife Beverly, and Craig Miller Shannon and wife Janice; sister: Gladys F. Bennett; brothers: Walton H. Miller, William K. Miller, and Robert G. Miller; grandchildren: Patrick Shannon, Cindy Watts, Michael Shannon, Kelly Shannon-Clark, Melissa Valentine, Daniel Shannon, and Christy Smirl; ten great-grandchildren; also numerous other relatives and friends.
