Mamie L. Johnson

Mamie Johnson, age 84 of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016. She was born August 18, 1931 in Sabine City, Texas to parents Hilary and Mamie Latham who preceded her in death along with daughters, Dottie Killen and Juanita Smith; son, David Alexander; brothers, Jamie Latham and wife Effie Sue, Ray Rice; sisters; Odell Levines and Vitula Guess. Survivors include her husband, Elton Wayne Johnson; sons, Woody Johnson and wife Leona, and Ched Johnson and wife Ruth; daughters, Lynn Carrell and husband M.C., and Jimmie Lummus; brothers, Cecil Rice and wife Louise, Carroll Latham and wife Bobbie; 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 11, 2016 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas.
