Maisie Anita Crockett Moreau, 85, of Dayton passed away September 7, 2018 at Bayshore Hospital in Pasadena, Texas. She was born April 21, 1933 in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana to parents Louis Carroll Crockett and Buna Vesta Stokes.
Services for Mrs. Moreau will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Houston National Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Pace-Stancil.
Maisie grew up in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She raised her family while living in Galena Park and there was always a house full as she welcomed all to her home. She worked many years for Sears where she retired from the job that she truly enjoyed. Maisie loved her family, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren. She passed down her love of cooking delicious Cajun dishes. She had lived in Dayton for the past 12 years.
Preceding Mrs. Moreau in death were her parents Louis Crockett and Buna Vesta Young; husband, Leo Moreau, siblings, Robert H. Crockett, Sigmund O. Crockett and John O. Crockett; grandchildren, Angel and Justin Gaudet, James L. Goss and “Lil” Daryl Dreahn; sons-in-law, James H. Goss, David Ferguson, Daryl Dreahn, and Willard Bryant. She leaves behind to cherish her memory daughters, Jackie Dell Gaudet and husband Lloyd of Pierre Part, LA, Theresa “Terri” Ferguson of Dayton, TX, Patricia “Pat” Henderson and husband Mike of Channelview, TX, Darlene Klinger and husband Paul of Iowa Park, TX, Regina Bryant of Joshua, TX, Andrea DeVault and husband Archie of Old River, TX; sons, Kenneth Thames of IL, Mike Moreau of Dayton, Tx, and Charles Moreau of LA; twenty-seven grandchildren; seventy great-grandchildren; nineteen great great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Duncan of FL; brother, Louis Carroll “CJ” Crockett of FL; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
