Mable Ann Merrell-Guynes

Mable Ann Merrell Guynes, age 80, of Cleveland (Bear Creek Community), Texas passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born August 26, 1926 in Beaumont, Texas to parents Ollie Monroe Turner and Bertha Mae Sisson Turner who preceded her in death along with her devoted husband William Columbus “Sonny Man” Merrell Jr.; parents Ollie Monroe Turner and Bertha Mae Sisson Turner; her beloved son Stony Guynes; brothers Jack and J.T.; sisters Lois, Ernestine, Sue, Helen, and Ollie Dee. She will be remembered lovingly by her daughters Wendy Ellington and husband Kenneth, Rhonda “Po” Gates and husband Phillip; son William Columbus “Dink” Merrell III; grandchildren Chasity, Shawna, Kellie, Angelique, Ashley, Tashia, Cory, Colton, and Jance; seventeen great-grandchildren; her beloved friend and caregiver Mary Murray; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and faithful friends throughout the years. The family would like you to join them for visitation Saturday, May 26, 2012, 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Carl Williamson and Bro. Charles Murphy will preside over funeral services being held Sunday, May 27, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Bear Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers include Cory Gates, Colby Presswood, Colton Pope, Daniel Wood, Jance Guynes, Steven Wood and Bobby Swanson.
