Lucille Elam, age 85 and a resident of Cleveland, Texas for 27 years, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015. She was born February 11, 1929 in Center, Texas to parents Jewel Reynolds and Lillie May Locke who preceded her in death along with her husband, Jerold B. Elam; son, Billy J. Elam; brother, Travis Reynolds; and sister, LaFaye Hughes. Lucille graduated from Center High School. She was a loving mother of nine children and a full-time homemaker who enjoyed family gatherings, camping, fishing and gardening. She was a wife and mother fully dedicated to her husband, children, and home life who enjoyed family visits from her children and all grandchildren and loved outdoor activities. Survivors include her daughters, Mary Friend, Shirley Williams and husband Jerry, Wanda Moye and husband Tony, Barbara Watson and husband Stephen; sons, Jimmy Elam and wife Sandy, Bobby Elam and wife Norma, Terry Elam and wife Pamela, and James Elam; sisters, Ann Scruggs and Joann Galford; brother, Jerry Reynolds; twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, twelve great great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2015 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Pace Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens, Cleveland, Texas.
