L.T. Alexander

L.T. Alexander, age 84, and a resident of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013. He was born February 17, 1929 in Cleveland to parents John and Elizabeth Pearl (Roark) Alexander who preceded him in death. Mr. Alexander was a distinguished Veteran of the United States Army Air Corps. He was a pipeline station foreman for Peoples Natural Gas by trade. He loved to cook on the pit and spend time with family and friends. He will be remembered lovingly. Survivors include his loving wife, Juanita Faye Tanner Alexander; son, Thomas Mitchell Alexander; daughter, Deborah Kay Alexander Barnett; grandchildren, Joshua Alexander and Seth Alexander, Raymond “T” Barnett, John Thomas Barnett, and Carissa Barnett great-grandchildren, Luke and Elijah Alexander, Sophia Barnett, Nicholaus, Laurelei, and Cameron Cox; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and faithful friends. Visitation will be held Friday, October 11, 2013, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Pastor Nick Van and Pastor Ken Worley will preside over funeral services being held Saturday, October 12, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Oak Shade Baptist Church with interment following at Oak Shade Cemetery. Pallbearers include Phillip Tanner, David Tanner, Paul Tanner, Mark Alexander, Stephen Tanner, Clint Alexander, Mickey Parker, and Richard Parker.
