Loye Clentine Stockbridge

Loye Clentine Stockbridge, age 96 and a resident of Houston, Texas, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013. She was born August 10, 1917 in Grapeland, Texas. She was a joy to be around and lived life with a heart full of love. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and steadfast friend. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Dr. Vance Drum will preside over graveside services being held 12:00 p.m., Friday, October 25, 2013 at Davis Cemetery in Grapeland, Texas. Pallbearers include Brandan Steele, Roger Childress, Raymond Vandver, David Steele, Lemuel Steele, and Van Steele. She is preceded in death by her husband, Olan Gregg Stockbridge; son-in-law, Oliver Dean Steele; and her sister, Mildred Colburn. She will be remembered lovingly by her daughter, Eva Steele; grandchildren, David Steele and wife Sandy, Lemuel Steele and wife Candy, Karen Franklin and husband Rickey, Van Steele and wife Debbie; great-grandchildren, Trista Steele Johnston, Stacie Steele, Raymond Earl Vandver, Rickey Franklin, Chase Franklin, Lemuel Steele Jr., Randy Steele, Kassidy Steele, Brandan Steele, Cheyenne Steele, and Shaylee Steele; great-great-grandchildren, Kayden Franklin, Haley Vandver, Hunter Vandver, Cole Vandver, Nathaniel Steele, Madison Steele, Audrey Jones, and Kaden Steele; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and faithful friends.
