Louis Henry Ara, Jr., 77, of Dayton Texas entered into eternal rest on December 17, 2014.
He is preceded in death by his father, Louis Henry Ara; his mother, Isabel Ara; his sisters, Shirley Ara Saul and Gwendolyn Marie Ara Totah.
Louis is survived by his wife of 50 years Norma Lee Brooks Ara; his eight children, Frankie Lee Gonzalez (Roy) of Brownsville, Mary Edith Monterrubio (Thomas) of San Antonio, Lavinia Long (Reynaldo) of Brownsville, Everett Roulston of Reno, Nevada, Louis Henry Ara III (Rosie) of Brownsville, Isabel Louise Ara (Robert) of Brownsville, Justin James Ara (Lawnee) of Dayton, TX and Leslie Ann Ara Costello (Reyes) of Dayton; sisters, Mary Ara Bush, Margaret Helen Ara Saludis; grandchildren Norma Morua, Michelle Morales, Leticia Gonzalez, Blanca Sanchez, Annie Monterrubio, Mary Ann Cantu, Myers Ara Gonzalez, Reynaldo Long, Samantha Hilton, Louis H. Ara IV, Eric J.Ara, Casey Ara, and Katherine Ara; Thirteen great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Louis was born on January 2, 1937 in Victoria Texas, to parents Louis and Isabel Ara. He worked for Brown and Root for more than 35 years as a Pipefitter in Texas and California. Louis and Norma Lee retired in Dayton, TX in 1995.
Louis was a loving and caring father who shared the burdens of many and offered his faith, comfort and loving kindness to all. He was a member of the Catholic Church all of his life and attended church weekly up till his passing. He enjoyed life to its fullest with many fond memories of his deer hunting, his Dallas Cowboys, gambling but mostly his laughter. He has left an imprint of his unconditional love upon us all, something we will forever cherish in our hearts.
Visitation is scheduled on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 5:00-9:00p.m. at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland, TX. A service will be held at Pace Stancil at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2014 followed by Interment at Ryan Cemetery.The family would like to thank Kingwood Medical Center and Nexus Hospice Care for their wonderful compassionate care.
Pallbearers will be Louis Henry Ara IV, Eric James Ara, Reynaldo LongJr., Thomas Monterrubio, Reynaldo Long Sr., Brian Saludis, Mark Saludis and Jonathan Garcia.Honorary pallbearers are Albert John Totah and Albert John Totah Jr.
