Lou Laxton

Lou Laxton of Cleveland, TX passed away Friday, March 3, 2023, at the age of 81. Lou was born December 19, 1941 in Galveston, TX to parents William Allen and Loyce Elizabeth Wilkerson Brown. She married her husband Harry Laxton 19 years years ago on Valentines Day. Lou was a member of Eastern Stars and was a retired Liberty County Tax Assessor. Lou is fondly remembered as one who was always dressed up and was a kind, positive, and caring person. Lou never met a stranger and she remembered everyone’s birthday.

Lou was preceded in death by her father, William Allen Brown, Sr.; her mother, Loyce Elizabeth Brown Fredieu; step-father, Willard Fredieu; sister; Sherry Berg; and her beloved Spanky. She is survived by her husband, Harry Laxton; her sons, Glen Bruce and wife Janis, James Bruce and wife Robbie, Gary Bomer; brother, William Brown, Jr. and wife Margie; sister, Cindy Kessler and husband Tommy; her beloved Angel; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family members, and a host of friends.

Visitation for Lou Laxton will be at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Funeral Service will follow Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in the Pace-Stancil Chapel at 2:00 pm.
