Lois Nelson

Lois Nelson, age 96 of Splendora, Texas, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018. She was born February 10, 1921 in Hemphill, Texas to parents Edward and Erma Self Smith who preceded her in death along with her husband, Jefferson Davis Nelson; brother, J.E. Smith; and sisters, Versie Franklin and Thelma Wiggins.

Survivors include her son, Cloyce Nelson and wife Rita; daughters, Yvette McDonald, and
Tommie Davis and husband James; brothers, George Smith, and Earl Smith and wife Neva; grandchildren, Frank Roberts and wife Karen, Pernell Davis and wife Debbie, Tammy Cowen and husband Mike, Wendi Searcy and husband Travis; 11 great-grandchildren, eight great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 26, 2018 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Splendora City Cemetery, Splendora, Texas.
