Lloyd Wayne Meadows

Lloyd Wayne Meadows, age 69 and a resident of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Sunday, September 01, 2013 in Cleveland, Texas. He was born in Cleveland, Texas in 1943 born to parents Doyle Edward and Lillie Dellyne Presnull Meadows who preceded in death along with his grandparents, Andrew J. “A.J.” Meadows, Martha Melvine Lipsey, Robert M. Presnull, and Mary E. Buckner, and brother, Kenneth R. Meadows. Mr. Meadows graduated from the Cleveland High School class of 1963, served on the Cleveland City Council for five years, was a former mayor of Cleveland for six years, and enjoyed hunting, skeet shooting, fishing, and maintaining his yard. Survivors include his wife Emma Joan Welch Meadows; sons Craig D. Meadows and Robert S. Meadows and wife Ashley E. Ford Meadows, nephews Kenneth M. Meadows and John A. Meadows, and numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and treasured friends. Visitation will be held Monday, September 2, 2013, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Funeral services being held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Ryan Cemetery in Tarkington Prairie.
