Linda Petersen Ploch, a cherished member of the community known for her dedication to Eastgate Church, has peacefully passed away at the age of 74 in Baytown. Linda was born on December 16, 1949, in San Bernardino, California, to Christopher Petersen and Lois Castro Petersen.
Throughout her life, Linda was a legal assistant for Jay Arnold in Liberty. Her work ethic and commitment were truly admirable to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. However, it was her 44-year dedication to Eastgate Church that truly exemplified her spirit of service and faith.
Outside of her professional life, Linda found joy in various hobbies and interests. She was passionate about playing games, exploring arts and crafts, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. Her involvement in helping to provide Vacation Bible School, Children's Church activities, and special events at Eastgate Church showcased her caring nature and love for the community.
In her family life, Linda was survived by her loving husband of over 56 years, Richard Ploch Sr., their daughter Lori Ploch, grandchildren Chase Fayle, Payton Ploch, Raelynn Ploch, great-grandchild Austyn Ploch, as well as several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Christopher Petersen and mother Lois Castro Petersen her son Richard Ploch Jr. and son-in-law Justin Godbold.
A visitation will be held at Eastgate Church in Dayton on March 2nd from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM with Pastor Rick Doran officiating burial to follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton. The services aim to honor Linda's life and commemorate the legacy she has left behind.
Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Payton Ploch, Mike Hammond, Ian Fayle, Tristan Strother, Tommy Sumpter, John Leopard.
Linda Petersen Ploch will forever be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to both her work and faith. May she rest in peace knowing that her light will continue to shine through the memories and lives she has touched along the way.
