Linda Lou Thornton, 67, of Coldspring died Monday, April 11, 2016.
The family will receive friends a 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Coldspring.
Linda was born November 9, 1948 in Hazard, Kentucky to parents, Nathan Dalton and Helen Comb Dalton. She was a long time resident of Cold Spring after moving from Houston and worked for many years in trucking. Linda enjoyed gardening, reading, and her dogs but most of all she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan Dalton and Helen Comb Cornett; brother, Sonny Dalton; son, Russell “Rusty” Thornton, and grandson, Brandon Thornton. She is survived by her lifelong partner, Linda Little of Coldspring; daughters, Lisa Ward-Elzey and husband Robert of Deer Park, Paula Kelly and wife Terri of Manvel and Misty Thornton of Conroe; sisters, Debbie Hodges of Porter and Donna Odem of Pasadena; brothers, Skipper Cornett of Columbus, Scotty Cornett of Deer Park, John Cornett of Porter, Gary Clay of Kentucky, and Kenneth Cornett of Texas City; grandchildren, Dustin, Tiffany, Cameron, Krystin, Jesse, Johnny, and Cheyenne; great-grandchildren, Breeanna, Adrian, Michael, Cohen and Trey; also numerous other relatives and friends.
