Linda Jo Patella Seitz of Katy, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 5, 2017.
Mother, Noni, sister, aunt and friend to many. Linda was born in Dallas, Texas on August 5, 1940 to Frank Joseph Patella Sr. and Elena Mae Smith Patella. Her family moved to the Galena Park area in her youth where she graduated from Galena Park Senior High in 1958 and went on to pursue a degree in Theatre Arts from Texas Women’s College.
After having two daughters, Linda went on to become a Professional Legal Secretary in the Houston area, working long hours to help provide for her girls. If a wish was expressed by one of her girls, she would move heaven and earth to see that wish granted. As her family expanded and grandchildren arrived, she poured her love and devotion into her little Angels. She served her family selflessly throughout her life.
Survived by daughters Deborah Seitz Walker and Jo Seitz Wynn; brother Frank J. Patella Jr.; Son-in-Law Jett Wynn; Grandchildren Alexandre Tomey and fiancé Dane J. Penn, V. Mason Tomey, and Josey Kaylin Walker; Nieces and Nephews Lynn Kane and daughter Tamsen Marenco, Tony and Uli Branstetter and son Alex Branstetter, Amy Jo and Scott McKenzie and children Erin Friberg and Rayce McKenzie.
Preceded in death by parents Frank J. Patella Sr. and Elena M. Smith Patella; siblings David Miller, Carol and husband Jim Branstetter; Sister-in-Law Kimberly Barzilla Patella; Grandparents Maggie Elizbeth Thornton Williams and Charles Williams, William Claude Smith, Tony and Frances Maggio Patella. And lastly, her beloved companion Gingi who meant the world to her.
Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude for the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital for taking such exquisite care of our mother. And to our Angels at AMed Community Hospice who gave her the greatest comfort and care to her last breath. We are eternally grateful.
If you would like to make a donation in lieu of flower, we suggest the ALS Association (www.alsa.org) or Sjogren’s Syndrome Foundation (www.sjogrens.org). She fought a hard fight.
