Linda Foxworth Crawford

July 11, 1951 — September 14, 2018

Linda Jo Foxworth Crawford graced us with her forceful presence on July 11th, 1951, and passed away on September 14th, 2018 at home after a four year fight with cancer. She remained a force and joy until her last days. She was an inspiration to us all as she dealt with her disease. Although she is no longer physically with us, Linda and her spirit will always be in the hearts of her family and friends.

Linda and her parents, Faye & Earl Foxworth, and siblings that followed lived in Cleveland, TX until 1957. In 1957, the family moved to Baytown. Linda attended David G Burnett Elementary, Baytown Junior High, and graduated from Ross S. Sterling High School in 1969. She continued her education at Sam Houston State University and graduated from The University of Houston Clear Lake with a Master's Degree in Environmental Management. Her career was multi-faceted. During her days at Sam Houston, she was a waitress. For several years, she worked in the family business, Commerce Body Shop. After the body shop was sold, she owned and operated Goose Creek Glass. She then went on to work for ACI in Houston and retired in 2005. After retiring from a full-time career, she worked part-time for Kay Hester Estate Sales. She met several very special friends during her estate sale work and maintained those friendships after retiring again. Linda retired to care for her aging parents and to have more time to spend with great-nephew, William. She spent her last healthy years, along with Wesley, as a caregiver to her parents. Linda was dedicated to her family, and we should all be so fortunate to have someone to care for us as Linda cared for her parents in their elder years.

Linda is following in the path of her younger brother, Steven Earl Foxworth, and her parents, Ouida Faye and William Earl Foxworth. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Wesley Crawford; her sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Billy Barnett; and nephew and his wife, Matthew Hunt and Kate. She is also survived by the most precious being that entered her life, William, great-nephew and shared grandson. Her father’s dog, Scrappy, also survives Linda. Linda never met a stray cat, and she and Wesley have many cats who will miss her. She is also survived by a host of cousins and friends.
