Linda Allen Ruonavar

Linda Beth Allen Ruonavar, age 76 of Porter, Texas passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022. She was born March 26, 1946, in Cleveland, Texas to parents Richard Nolan (RN) Allen (Judge) and Ruby Pearl Hardin Allen who preceded her in death along with her husband, Clyde E. Ruonavar, sisters, Elna Ruth Chapman and husband McNeil “Chat” Chapman of Bastrop, TX, Dorothy Marie Russell and husband John E. Russell of Clinton, OK, Merla Gladys Everett and husband Robert Everett of Shepherd, TX, Edith Nell Allen of Cushing, TX,; nephews, Larry Ballard and James Everett; niece, Jeannette Burton.
Survivors include her daughters, Jodi Ruonavar, Deanna Ruonavar Gilliam and husband Michael D. Gilliam; special son, Dan Williams; grandchildren, Cheri Elizabeth Ruonavar and fiancé Eugene Smith, Makenzy Ann Gilliam, Justin Duane Gilliam; nieces, Charlene Everitt, Pamela Krumnow, Alicea Johnson and Sandy Spangler; nephews, Thomas Everett, John Russell, Timothy Russell, Howard Salge and Greg Chapman; along with lots of great and great-great nieces and nephews, even a few great-great-great.
Linda had her close friends and she also had her “babies”. If you were called one of her “babies” you held a very special place in her heart and life. Linda was born in Cleveland, TX. She was a member of the Cleveland Indians Marching Band. Shortly after graduating from Cleveland High School, she received her nursing licenses. Then she married a solider, the love of her life Clyde. The family would like to extend a special thanks to MC PCT 4 Constables for escorting their mom home, along with Harbor Hospice and Paige Riggs for taking care of her.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 25, 2022, at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Services will follow starting at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 25, 2022, at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 25, 2022, at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
