Lilly Frank Elizabeth Powers

Lilly Frank Elizabeth Powers, age 92, of North Zulch, Madisonville, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011. She was born September 22, 1918 in Taylor, Texas to Robert M. and Lydia Blomquist who preceded her in death along with her loving husband, Newman Powers.
Mrs. Powers was a longtime employee of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. She was a member of the Cleveland Pilot Club; a member of the First Baptist Church of Cleveland and later a member of the First Baptist Church of Madisonville.
Survivors include her son, Glenn Powers and wife, Estela; sister, Helen Lydia Coupland; brothers, Milton Hart Blomquist, Franklin Aaron Blomquist; grandchildren, Daniel J. Powers and wife, Christella, Joshua M. Powers and wife, Melissa, David A. Powers; great-grandchildren, Victoria A. Powers and J.D. Powers; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and faithful friends throughout the years.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011, 3:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Pastor Troy Brooks will preside over funeral services being held Wednesday, March 30, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Madisonville, Texas with interment following at Madisonville City Cemetery. Pallbearers include David Powers, J.D. Powers, Joshua Powers, Thomas Hruska, Daniel Powers, and David M. Flores.
