Lillian Gertrude Smith

Lillian Gertrude Smith, age 98 of Gastonia, North Carolina, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016. She was born August 19, 1917 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to parents Edward and Bonnie Rogers who preceded her in death along with her husband, Jack Smith; grandson, Jay Smith; and great-grandson, James Robert Machcinski. Survivors include her daughter, Mary L. Cavallo; son, Ronald J. Smith and wife Mary Jane; sister, Ruby Vance; brother, Charles Edward Rogers and wife Betty Sue; eleven grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, numerous great great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2016 at Brookside Memorial Park, Houston, Texas.PACE-STANCIL FUNERAL HOME303 E.
