Leroy Alsobrooks

Leroy Alsobrooks, age 74, of Spring, Texas, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at his home. He was born March 08, 1938 in Cleveland, Texas. Mr. "Buddy" Alsobrooks was a tree surgeon by trade and knew his business well. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather "Pops", brother, and steadfast friend who loved his family including "Shotsi", his K-9 companion and friend. He was a woodsman and enjoyed being in the country. He loved his horses, deep sea fishing, playing games with his family and friends and in general he was a people person. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.He is preceded in death by his parents Amos Rosemond Alsobrooks Sr. and Martha Bloodsworth Alsobrooks; his brothers G. E., Morgan, Nubin, and Pete Alsobrooks; and his sister Lula Yeager.Survivors include his devoted wife of 52 years Sammye Alsobrooks; sons Randy and Tami Alsobrooks and Kevin and Janet Alsobrooks; sisters Francis Yeager, Maxine Morris, Lucille Sweeton; brothers Amos Alsobrooks Jr. and Ernest Alsobrooks; grandchildren Seth, Johnathon, Brandon, Robert, Branda, Derrick James, Olivia, and Lola; numerous other cherished family members and faithful friends throughout the years.The family ask you to join them for visitation being held Friday, September 21, 2012, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Carl Williamson will preside over funeral services being held Saturday, September 22, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Bear Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers include Randy, Brandon, Kevin, Seth, Johnathon Alsobrooks, and Charles Yeager.
