Leo Pate

Leo Pate, age 75, of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at his home. He was born March 27, 1937 in Shepherd, Texas to parents Elbert Enzor and Mary Evelyn Pate who preceded him in death along with his wife Frances Reeves Pate; his sister Laverne Hammock; and his infant brother, and brother Delbert Pate. Survivors include his daughters Kathy Wright and husband Darrell, Mary Cruz and husband Nuno; grandchildren Michael Wright and wife Christina, Shawn Wright and fiancé Darsel Seepersad, and Matthew Santillan; great-grandson Aydan Wright; brothers Cleo Pate, David Pate and wife Sue; Ed Pate and wife Dorothy, Ike Pate and wife Martha; sisters Carolyn Bland and husband Harrison, Velt Simmons and husband David, Marie Lowe and husband Mike, Ruth Marshall and husband Rick; and a host of nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2013, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Rick Marshall will preside over funeral services being held Wednesday, January 16, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Old Big Creek Cemetery, Shepherd, Texas. Pallbearers include Michael Wright, Shawn Wright, Matthew Santillan, Terry Reeves, Rickey Reeves, and Dallas Wilson; honorary pallbearers include Nuno Cruz, Glenn Tirey and Larry Wilson.
