Lee Lucero Halasah

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Frankie Leota Halasah, affectionately known as "Lee," who departed this life on December 12, 2024, in her beloved hometown of Dayton. Born on February 20, 1949, Frankie was the cherished daughter of Frank Lucero and Elsiemae Gerturde Quinn Lucero, now deceased. She grew up alongside her siblings Gertrude "Trudy" Lucero Brown, Angela Lucero Hayes, and Frank Lucero, II, all of whom have also preceded her in death.

She lived most of her life in Dayton, where she graduated with the class of 1967 and was a twirler.

Lee's professional life was marked by dedication and skill as an auto dealership sales manager, at several dealerships, where she made a significant impact on her colleagues and customers alike. She had, at one time, also worked as a chef on a tugboat. Her unwavering commitment and friendly demeanor will be fondly remembered by all who worked with her.

Beyond her career, Lee's passions illuminated her life. She found joy in traveling and often embarked on voyages across the seas, embracing the adventure of cruises. A devoted reader, she spent countless hours immersed in novels, allowing their stories to enrich her mind and soul. Additionally, she had a special affinity for collecting angels, a reflection of her nurturing spirit and the peace she found in their presence. Another passion was going antiquing with her mother, Elsiemae.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 29 years, Nick Halasah; her children, Robert Rountree and wife Stacie, Dantha Rountree and husband John Gallagher, and Terrie Sunshine Janelle Roberts Knight and fiancé Miguel Taveras. Lee took great pride in her role as a grandmother to 14 grandchildren and was the proud matriarch of numerous great-grandchildren, who will carry on her legacy of love and kindness. She is also survived by her sisters, Maria Hanel and husband Leroy and Christina Rebbeca Lucero, who will miss her dearly, along with her canine companion, Dolly.

In commemorating Lee's life, a visitation will be held on December 19, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, located at 1304 N Cleveland St, Dayton, TX 77535 with Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. The funeral service will take place the following day, December 20, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at the same location. Burial will follow at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery in Eastgate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jayden Calfee, John Gallagher, Ty Rountree, Daniel Nugent, Jeremy LeBlanc and T. J. Sanchez.

As we remember Frankie Leota Halasah, let us celebrate her nurturing nature, her adventurous spirit, and the love she so freely gave to her family and friends. She will forever remain in our hearts.
