Lee C. “Charlie” Taylor, Jr., 47, of Old River, died Monday, May 28, 2012, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital, Alexander Campus in Baytown. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 31, 2012, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Cooke Memorial Cemetery in Liberty. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, prior to services. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Charlie was born August 1, 1964 in Liberty, to parents; Lee Charles, Sr. and Iris Muriel Gray Taylor of Old River, and has resided in the area throughout his life. He was a roughneck in the oilfield industry, of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed fishing, drawing, barbecuing, and playing dominoes. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his nephew: Erik Boriths. He is survived by his parents: Lee Charles, Sr. and Iris Muriel Gray Taylor of Old River, sisters: Debbie Faircloth of Mt. Belvieu, Glenda Shannon of Hull, Brenda Taylor of Liberty, and Darnell Taylor of Baytown, brothers: Tolbert Hudspeth, Jr. of MS, Clifton Fregia, Jr. of Old River, Garland Taylor of Hardin, and Jimmy Taylor of Hardin, special friend: Tonya Christopher of Old River, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
