Laura Jess Hudgins

Laura Jess Beesley Hudgins, age 92 and a resident of Lindale, Texas, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in Lindale, Texas. She was born February 13, 1922 in Rockdale, Texas to Thomas Jefferson Beesley and Jessie Viola Sessions Beesley and graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Mrs. Hudgins taught high school English and was a former member of The United Methodist Church of Cleveland. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Hudgins was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Jessie Beesley of Romayor; husband, Tom Hudgins and sister, Ray Lebr of Romayor. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Mauldin and husband Jim of Lindale, Texas; son, Chris Hudgins of Grapevine, Texas; grandchildren, Meredith Knight and husband Jamie of Austin, Texas; great-grandchild, Nash Hudgins Knight due in early September; nephews, Hudson Hudgins and Perry Wilson; niece, Susan Hudgins; brother –in-law, Bill Hudgins and wife Betty of Huntsville Texas; sister-in-law, Milvia Hudgins Taggart of Carrollton, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 12, 2014, 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Dr. Walter Scalen will preside over the graveside service held Friday, June 13, 2014, 10:00 a.m. at Cleveland Memorial Park, Cleveland, Texas.
