Larry Glenn Ubnoskye, 62, of Eastgate, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 in Baytown. He was born April 5, 1955 in Dayton to his parents, Albert Ubnoskye and Albina Kovalcik Ubnoskye.
Mr. Ubnoskye was a lifelong resident of Eastgate, a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and the Dayton Young Farmers. He was a past state officer in the Texas Young Farmers, a member of Texas Trophy Hunters Association, Ducks Unlimited and Lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Larry was a 1973 graduate of Dayton High School and an outstanding player on the Bronchos football team while attending school.
He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife, Paula Ubnoskye; mother, Albina Ubnoskye; son, Chad Ubnoskye and his wife Genevieve; daughter, Shauna Taplin and her husband, Henry all of Eastgate; brothers, Kenny Ubnoskye of Seguin and Ricky Ubnoskye of Hardin; sisters, Sharon Shaver and her husband, Fred and Kim Rogers and her husband, Billy all of Eastgate; grandchildren, Chase Taplin, Maddy Taplin, Rowdy Taplin and Cade Ubnoskye and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017, with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 28, 2017 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Dayton, Texas with Father Andy Vu officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery in Eastgate.
Pallbearers will be Jason Rogers, Donny Shaver, Michael Lampson, Brody Hinton Tyler Hinton, and Ty Warbritton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chase Taplin, Rowdy Taplin, Cade Ubnoskye, Joe Willeford, and Bill Gray.
