Larry F. Land, 51, of Dayton, died Thursday, September 26, 2013, at the Liberty-Dayton Community Hospital in Liberty. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 30, 2013, at the Magnolia Park Cemetery with burial following thereafter. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Larry was born October 16, 1961 in Jacinto City, to parents; Billy F. and Charlene Pursley Land, a former resident of Crosby, and has resided in Dayton for the past 15 years. He was a graduate of the North Shore High School class of 1980, attended ITT, was a journeyman electrician by trade, and a usher for the First Baptist Church of Dayton. He also enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, wood working, and watching Bronco football. Mr. Land was preceded in death by his grandparents: Luther and Mary Pursley and Clifford and Molly Land, mother-in-law: Barbara Pretre, and father-in-law: James Cole, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 18 years: Margarett Joy Cole Land of Dayton, daughters: Briawna Joy Land of Dayton and Margarett Elizabeth Land of Dayton, parents: Billy and Charlene Land of Tarkington Prairie, sisters: Vickie Land of Conroe and Norma Jean Land of Troy, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
