Lanny Dale Jeffcoat

Lanny Dale Jeffcoat, loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend, was called home to be with his Lord and savior on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the age of fifty-eight years, in Humble, Texas with his devoted wife, children, and sisters by his side. He was born October 2, 1958 in Baytown, son of the late R.O. and Alta Joyce (Purswell) Jeffcoat. Lanny was a life-long resident of Crosby, and a member of the 1978 graduating class of Crosby High School. He spent most of his adult life operating heavy equipment, of which, he spent the last fifteen years as a member of the Murff Turf Farms family. He enjoyed hunting, was an avid gun & knife collector, loved to joke around and pick on people, and was one of the greatest story tellers known to man. Lanny never met a stranger, and it would be tough to find someone who didn’t like him. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Lanny was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Roy Jeffcoat. He is survived by his loving wife of seventeen years, Cynthia “Cindy” (Mayhugh) Jeffcoat; sons, Ethan Jeffcoat & fiancé Ashley Skinner of Crosby, and Jeremy Dueitt & wife Shanda of Conroe; daughters, Cassie Dykes & husband Travis of Bay City, and Lacy (Dueitt) Deriso & husband Dustin of Crosby; sisters, Peggy Barron of Crosby, and Delores “Bity” Speir & Husband Hilton “Blackie” of Crosby; grandchildren, Jase, Brantley, Ashlyn, Colby, Moriah, Amber, Daniel, Jacob, Jeremiah, Marcus, Mandy, Robert, and Taylor; great grandchildren, Aubrey, and Elijah; numerous nieces & nephews, and extended family and friends. Lanny will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Lanny’s family will receive visitation Monday, April 10, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, with services concluding thereafter. Services have been entrusted to Pace-Stancil Funeral Home of Dayton.
