Lane Joseph Wells

Lane Joseph Wells was born June 15, 2016 in Conroe, Texas to mother, Ginny Lynn Ray and father, Chad Ormand Wells. He left us on December 23, 2024 in Lake Charles, Louisiana at the tender age of just 8 years old. Lane had a strong love for all animals and was in the 3rd grade at Greenleaf Elementary in Splendora, Texas. He had a bright and loving smile that could light up any room. Lane will be greatly missed by his family, classmates, and teachers. 

Lane was preceded in death by his grandmother, Donna Lynn Wells Hamilton; great-grandmother, Barbara Wells; great-grandfather, Larry Gorman. He is survived by his beloved mother, Ginny Ray; loving father, Chad Wells and wife Brandy; grandparents, Ginger Ray, Dean Turman, Patrick Ray, Joe Hamilton, John and Janet Beauxis; great-grandmother, Lucy Gorman; brother, Keaton Wells, step-brother, Blake Herron and wife Halley; step-sister, Madisson Higginbotham and Garren Richard; aunts, Jessica McMullen and husband Anthony, Ali Jetton and husband Jason, Elizabeth Brinkley and husband Chad; uncles, Patrick Ray, Taylor Hamilton and wife Zen, Branch Boudreaux and wife Autumn; cousins, Raelynn Baugh and husband Brayden, Ellie Baugh, William Ray, Allison Chaney, Ryland Chaney, Payton Miller, Preston Miller, Charlotte Jetton, Audrey Jetton, Reese Cruz, Tomas Cruz, and Noland Hamilton. 

The Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Thursday, January 2, 2025 in the Pace-Stancil Chapel in Cleveland at 1pm with Pastor Brad Butler officiating. Following the service, a reception will be held in honor of Lane at the home of Jason and Heather Murley located at 4494 Rolling Hills Rd. Conroe, Texas 77303. All are welcome.
