Kristina Dee Van Buren

Kristina Dee Van Buren, 54, passed away on January 30th, 2025 in Cleveland, Texas. She was born to parents Russell Martin Van Buren and Alice Laura Howard Van Buren on June 23rd, 1970 in Wichita, Kansas. 

Kristina will be lovingly remembered as a people person who never met a stranger. She was an unselfish person who would have given the shirt off her back to help anyone in need. Kristina lived a life full of purpose, passion, and motivation. No matter what challenges she faced, she never let anything get her down. 

She will be missed by all that had the privilege of knowing her. 

Kristina was preceded in death by her parents, Rusell and Alice Van Buren; her daughter, Gloria Preston. She is survived by her “honeyman”, Eddy Mize; her daughter, Christine Hayes; her son, Anthony Carten; her sisters, Kimberly Sudderth and Kathy Alberty, niece, Terra Alberty; 4 grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

A memorial service for Kristina will be held in the Pace-Stancil Chapel in Cleveland, Texas on Saturday, February 8th at 2 pm with Bro. Carl Williamson officiating.
