Kenneth Harold Feldhusen, age 46, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015, in Houston, Texas. Ken was born October 24, 1968, in Beach, North Dakota. He attended grade school in Wibaux, Montana, and graduated from high school in Sinton, Texas. He attended Southwest Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas; Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas; and Chippewa Valley Technical College, Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Ken is survived by his mother Margaret Feldhusen (Houston, Texas), father Gerald “Jerry†Feldhusen (Colona, Illinois), and his sisters Ellen Feldhusen Leonard (Houston, Texas) and Mary Feldhusen (League City, Texas). Ken is a United States Army veteran and served during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. He earned the Southwest Asia Service Medal Bronze Service Star-2, the Army Commendation Medal for exceptional meritorious service during Operation Desert Storm, the Army Achievement Medal for outstanding job performance, the Certificate of Achievement for exceptional accomplishments during REFORGER Exercise, and the Army Achievement Medal for superb support of two companies of armor vehicles during field training exercises with 97% efficiency. Ken cherished and respected his country and proudly displayed the United States flag at his home. Ken had a natural talent for solving technical issues, and he befriended everyone he met. He loved animals and worked closely with veterinarians and technicians to implement and configure computer networks and install hardware and software. He effortlessly trained others on how to use these systems. Ken loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. His sense of humor and generous heart set him apart from the rest. His immediate and extended family and all of his friends will remember his caring soul. Services will be held Friday, March 20, at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 11507 Huffmeister Road, Houston, Texas 77065. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Rosary at 10:30 a.m. in the parlor. Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception.
