Obituary for Kenneth Allen Gray

Kenneth Allen Gray, a resilient and beloved resident of Dayton, Texas, passed away on October 26, 2024 at the age of 62. Born in Liberty, Texas, to Ollie and Dorothy Norman Gray, Kenneth spent his childhood traveling extensively due to his father’s Air Force service. Despite facing numerous health challenges, Kenneth defied medical expectations, outliving life predictions by 48 remarkable years. A proud graduate of Liberty High School, Kenneth furthered his education in culinary arts. His unapologetic nature and sharp wit earned him a reputation as a straightforward man who spoke his mind.

Kenneth loved the outdoors, and passions included hunting and fishing, and classic western movies. You could often see Kenneth frequently riding into town on his lawn mower, bringing joy to many. His exceptional barbecue skills, particularly his mouthwatering brisket, chicken and ribs, were legendary.

He cherished his family and is survived by sisters, Patricia Grupe (Tommy) of Liverpool, Texas, and Anita Greenlea of Dayton; Brothers, Stephen Goodwin (Anne) of Graham, Texas, Mike Gray (Robin) of Union, Missouri, and Steven Gray (Tammy) of Aubrey, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death and welcoming him to heaven are parents, Ollie and Dorothy Norman Gray, his grandparents, and brother-in-law, Donald Joe Greenlea
