Kenneth Everitt Rogers

Kenneth E. Rogers, 75, of Hempstead, died March 6, 2013, in Houston. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 11, 2013, at the Huffman Cemetery with Rev. Danny Wendt officiating in Huffman, with burial following thereafter. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Kenneth was born November 11, 1937 in Honoraville, AL, to parents; Sydney Rogers and Cora Schultz, a former resident of Conroe, and has resided in the Hempstead are for the past six years. He was a retired butcher in the grocery industry and construction worker, member of the First Baptist Church of Grangerland, and enjoyed fishing, his yard work, and visiting with others. Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his father: Sydney E. Rogers, mother: Cora Schultz Dignon, and brothers: Sydney and Buddy Rogers. He is survived by his daughter: Amber Collins of Hempstead, step-daughters: Dottie Stentz of Huffman, Sherry Matthieu of Huffman, Pam Wendt of Hempstead, and Bobby Averitt of Hempstead, sister: Shirley Wheeler of GA, brother: Don Rogers of Houston, grandchildren: Meagen Rogers, Kirstin Collins, Hannah Collins, and Taylor Collins, great-grandchildren: Karlea Kae Cruz and Kinleigh Collins, and numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
