Keith Malcolm Mathis, Sr.

Keith Malcolm Mathis, Sr., age 96 of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016. He was born September 1, 1919 in Leon County, Texas to parents Washington Moody and Jennie Rebecca Mathis who preceded him in death along with his loving wife of 66 years, Jonel Mathis; and fifteen brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his daughter, Virginia Mathis Campbell and husband Bud; son, Keith Malcolm Mathis, Jr. and wife Jan; grandchildren, Marissa Campbell Girardeau and Jeff, Luke Campbell and Melanie, Amy Mathis Bachmeyer and Chad, Kristin Mathis, Scott Campbell and Tisha Campbell McCain and Mike; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Emma, Abigail and Johanna Ott, Ford and Ben Campbell, and Lenore Girardeau; numerous other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2016 at Coldspring United Methodist Church, Coldspring, Texas. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Coldspring, Texas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Coldspring Senior Citizen Center.
