Kay Simon Morris, 51, of Cleveland, died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 18, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with services concluding thereafter. Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m., Friday, prior to services. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Kay was born August 29, 1962 in Anahuac, to parents; Guy W. and Barbara A, Mitchum Simon, a former resident of Anahuac, and has resided in Cleveland for the past five years. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her brother: Lester Simon and grandparents: Numa and Doris Simon and Norman and Minnie Mitchum. She is survived by her husband of 16 years: Larry Morris of Cleveland, daughter: Kassi Brown and husband J.R. of Hardin, son: Kyle Jones and wife Sarah of Cleveland, parents: G. W. and Barbara Simon of Anahuac, sister: Marie Middleton and husband Kent of Liverpool, brothers: Guy Simon and wife Dawn of Baytown and Toby Simon of Hankamer, grandchildren: Destiny, Jaydin, and Kayson Brown, and Karson and Blaze Jones, special friends: Betty and Buddy Brown of Hardin, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
