NEWSOM             Kathy Diana Newsom, age 57, of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011 at her residence.          She was born on September 3, 1954.  She weighed only 2 pounds.  The doctor said she would never make it and sent her home to die.  She did survive and went on to lead an extraordinary life.  She raised 3 kids; Laura Marie Harris, Diana Marie Dyer and Misty Kavett Dyer and husband, Kurt Riley – with the exception of special daughter, Virginia Hillhouse.  She was 2nd oldest of 5 kids from Ruthie Archley.  Brothers and sisters include David Richardson, Calvin Richardson, Vanessa (Hoss), and Janice Stowe.          She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Hoyle Moore and her good friend, Dr. Pat McMurrey.  She will be remembered loving by her mother, Ruth Atchley and husband, Don; father, Robert Lee Richardson; grandchildren, Lexton, Nacole, Kaitlyn, Laken, Jordan, Brayden, Kayla, Ciara, and one on the way; great-grandchild, Addison Harbour; special friend, Gale Evans; friends, Wallace Hooper and Aunt Sue; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other cherished family members and faithful friends and Victor Greene.          Rev. Richard Fontennette of Lake Station Baptist Church will preside over graveside services be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2011 at Farley Chapel Cemetery, Shepherd, Texas.  Pallbearers include Kurt Riley, Gale Evans, David Richardson, Waid Williams, Calvin Richardson, and Charles Jones; honorary pallbearer included Wallace Hooper.          May you rest in peace and sing with the Angels.  We love you momma.     PACE-STANCIL FUNERAL HOME 303 E.
