Karyn Karleen Day

Karyn Karleen Day, age 47, born July 21, 1964 in Cleveland, Texas and has spent her life here. She sadly passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 at her home. She was a lady full of grace, beauty and strength. Karyn cherished family gatherings with countless friends. Her children were her greatest accomplishments; her husband was her strength. She was a steadfast friend and loving sister, granddaughter, niece, aunt, and cousin. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 14, 2012, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Kenneth Faust will preside over funeral services being held 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2012 at Pace-Stancil Chapel with interment following at Ryan Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas. Pallbearers include Chester Rice, Chandler Parks, Chris Walker, Jeremy Lambert, Mitch Lindley, and Mark Lindley; honorary pallbearers include Charlie Stinson, Layne Collins, Joey Lilley, Matt Lindley, Steve Parks, and Scott Trigg. Karyn is preceded in death by her grandparents Freddy M. Rice and Lucille Rice; grandfather Andrew W. Prater; and her aunt Pat Lindley. She will be remembered lovingly by her devoted husband Richard Dalton Day; mother Nila Prater Goldberg and husband Jay; father William Andrew Rice Sr. and wife Gloria S.; son Ryan Dalton Day; daughter Kelly Elizabeth Day; grandmother Mozelle Louise Prater; brother William “Bill” A. Rice Jr. and wife, Jena; step-sister Lindsay M. Jordan; grandchild Craig Miles Day; nephews Greg Allen Rice, Chester McCullen Rice, Joshua Andrew Rice, and Micah Andrew Rice; aunts and uncles Fred Rice and wife Dana, Carolyn Lilley and husband Bill, Vickie Parks and husband Steve, Lavina Rollins and husband Billy, her loving and faithful companion “Lady” numerous other treasured family members and faithful friends beyond measure.
