Karen Marie Johnson

Karen Marie Guynes Johnson, 60, of Channelview died Thursday, December 27, 2012 at home in Channelview. She was born October 20, 1952 in Dayton, Texas to parents James Ralph and Katherine Wilkerson Guynes. She attended school in Lake Charles, Louisiana and had lived in Highlands before moving to Channelview 10 years ago. She was a member of the Baptist Church and loved being with her grandchildren and her pets. Service for Mrs. Johnson will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Dayton. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband of 33 years: Albert Lee Johnson of Channelview; her daughters: Katherine Rumley, Jackie Johnson, Alicia Johnson, Andera Deason, and Lesa Calton; her sons: Chris Johnson and Beau Johnson; brothers: Merrill R. Guynes and James R. Guynes; her grandchildren: Charles & Dylan Rumley, Kala Johnson, Areilla Johnson, Will Patton, Jr., Beianna Johnson, Angelic Johnson, Brittany Smith, Brandon Hillhouse and Christen Hillhouse; great-grandchild: Kagen Medley; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
