Karen Lynn Martinez

Karen Lynn Martinez, 54, of Dayton, Texas passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016.

Visitation for Mrs. Martinez will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 22, 2016 until 3:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. Service will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the funeral home.

Karen was born December 26, 1961 in North Carolina to parents, Bobby Breland and Frances Harvison Breland. She graduated with honors from Lee College in Alabama with a Bachelor’s Degree. Karen was currently employed as general manager of Dairy Queen in Dayton. She enjoyed traveling, her scratch offs, and crocheting blankets for people that she loved. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was very proud of her kids and loved to take pictures of them. Karen was always caring for others, putting their needs above her own.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Breland. Karen is survived by her husband, Roland Andrew Martinez of Dayton; her mother, Frances Breland; five children, Elizabeth Robinson and husband Zachary, John Dees and wife Brenda, Robert Dees, Ericka Kong-Martinez and spouse Maria, and Christopher Martinez; grandchildren, Hunter and Douglas Robinson, Maddison and Corbin Martinez, Azlynn Dees, and Hunter Dees; sisters, Tammy White and husband Tim, Barbara Breland, Candace Scott and husband Bruce; brother, Bobby Breland; also numerous other relatives and friends.
