Karen Lynn Holt Lewis, 55, of Dayton died Sunday, October 23, 2011. She was born April 28, 1956 in Houston to parents Elmer “Lloyd” Holt and Rose Frances Dunn Holt. Karen graduated in Houston from Robert E. Lee High School in 1974 and had previously worked for Halliburton. She enjoyed reading, movies, computer spades and most of all she loved being a mother to her daughters. Karen attended Trinity Baptist Church in Dayton.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Linney Cemetery under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Dayton. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2011 at the funeral home and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday before the service.
Karen was preceded in death by her father Elmer “Lloyd” Holt and is survived by her daughters: Brieanna Massey of Dayton and Ashlee Abernathy of Apopka, FL; her mother: Rose Dunn Holt of Dayton; her sisters: Leslie Castillo and husband Carl of Waco and Diane Driver of Houston; her grandchildren: Kaitlyn DeBoard, Chase DeBoard, Davin Scott, and Rylee Scott; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
