Junell Vern Morgan

Junell Vern Morgan was born February 22, 1948 in Houston, Texas to parents, Clarence Hammock and Gertrude Miller Hammock. She passed away in New Caney, Texas on November 17, 2024 at the age of 76. 

She was a devoted follower of Christ and her faith was most important to her. 

Junell worked at the Houston Fire Department for over 25 years as an administrative assistant. She began her career in Arson and then transferred to the Central Payroll Department. She loved being a part of the Houston Fire Fighter Family. 

After retiring, she traveled a bit but spent most of her time spoiling her beloved dog, DIVA! Her greatest love was for her family. She never missed a party and celebrated everything! If you knew her, she loved you and made you feel special. 

Junell was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Gertrude Hammock; brother, Jerry Hammock. She is survived by her beloved dog, Diva; daughter, Angela Morgan and husband Jerry; brother, Larry Hammock; grandchild, Rossi Morgan and wife Sarah, great-grandchildren, Briar Morgan and Crue Morgan. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be remembered by all who knew her. 

Visitation will be at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 5pm-7pm. Her funeral service is scheduled for Friday, November 22, 2024 at 11am in the Pace-Stancil Chapel with Pastor Curtis Hallford officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Hammock, James Hammock, Mike Gardner, Ronald Landrum, Jonathan Winkle, Rossi Morgan.
