Julius Pate

Julius Dee “Gootie” Pate, age 89, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010. He was born in Big Creek, Texas on June 16, 1921 to Daniel and Johnnie Lee Pate. Survivors include his loving wife, Gloria Jean Pate; daughter, Anita Kelly and husband, Clint; sons, Donnie Pate and wife, Jan, Terry Pate and wife, Vickie, James Wayne Ham and wife, Angie, Marty Ham and wife, Kandi; grandchildren, Kim, Cody, Hope, Amanda, Justin, Laurie, Kandice, Tristan, Tyler and Kayla; great- grandchildren, Colton, Kevin, Austin, Blake, Olivia, Ethan and Zachary. Visitation will be held Monday, October 25, 2010, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas; Service will be 10:00a.m. Tuesday, Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas burial immediate following at Big Creek Cemetery, Shepherd, Texas. Pallbearers include John Lilley, Vance Whitmire, Edward Thompson, Herschel Smith, Clint Kelly, Freddie McDowell.
