�Pace-Stancil Funeral Home1304 North ClevelandDayton, Texas 77535936-258-5300���� 936-258-5653 faxpacestancildayton@sbcglobal.net.Julia Merle Bittick Blanscet, 81, of Dayton passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 in Liberty.� She was born March 14, 1931 in Pelly, Texas to parents Julius Matthew and Georgia Meekins Bittick.� She was a lifelong resident of this area and owner of The Living Word Book Store in Liberty for over 20 years.�� She was a very faithful and active member of the Assembly of God Church in Dayton and enjoyed sewing and working in her yard.� Most of all Merle was a devoted wife and mother who loved caring for all of her family.� Services will be 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Pierce officiating.� Interment will follow at Palms Memorial Park Cemetery.�� Visitation for Mrs. Blanscet will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home.� She was preceded in death by her parents, son Jerry Dale Blanscet and sister, Marie Blanscet.� She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jerry Leon Blanscet of Dayton; her son, Jody Lee Blanscet and wife Terry of Dayton; grandchildren, Sara Blanscet Williams and husband Beau of Van Alstyne, Beth Blanscet Reynolds and husband Bodie of Dayton, and Matt Blanscet; great grandchildren:� Ty, Ainsley, and Brittyn; sister:� Laverne Bishop of Huntsville; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
